Juwan Johnson has been married to his wife, Chanen Johnson, since 2020.

The New Orleans Saints star started his career as a tight end playing college football for the Oregon Ducks and the Penn State Nittany Lions, where he met his future wife.

The pair were 20 years old when they first crossed paths at Penn State, where Chanen was majoring in communication arts and sciences and Juwan was studying telecommunications. They dated for two and a half years before walking down the aisle. Fast forward, Juwan and Chanen welcomed a child together, daughter J’adore Blessing Johnson, in 2023.

The couple frequently documents their lives together on social media via TikTok, Instagram and YouTube. In one particular Instagram video, Juwan commemorated their 2020 wedding with a heartfelt shout-out to Chanen.

"We are like the pieces to the jigsaw. Never the same but it happen to fit together," Juwan wrote in the caption. "I knew 2 1/2 years ago that eventually you’ll be my wife."

She met Juwan in college

Chanen was born on March 14, 1996, in Pomona, California, to Joe and Sheryl Raygoza. She moved across the country to attend Penn State University in Pennsylvania.

Chanen met Juwan while they were both students at Penn State — he played football at the university for three years before transferring to the University of Oregon for his senior year.

She used to be a gymnast

Chanen was a gymnast when she was younger. According to the Penn State Athletics website, she began gymnastics in middle school and was a Junior Olympic National Team member, a VISA U.S. National qualifier and a Junior International Elite gymnast.

Chanen continued gymnastics through her time at Penn State and appeared on the athletic team’s YouTube channel in a 2014 video, around the time she first met Juwan.

She married Juwan in February 2020

Juwan and Chanen married on Feb. 15, 2020, after almost three years of dating. The newlyweds celebrated their nupitals on Instagram, with the bride posting an Instagram picture of them. "Officially the happiest girl in the world!! So lucky to call you my husband," she captioned it.

Meanwhile, Juwan shared a video montage of them picking up their marriage license and kicking off the process of the wedding ceremony.

“I want to take every bump, every challenge and every milestone with you. Thank you God that I can call you Mrs. Johnson,” he wrote, in part.

She has a daughter with him

Chanen and Juwan welcomed their daughter, J’adore Blessing Johnson, on July 8, 2023.

A few days later, the NFL player announced the birth on Instagram with a picture of Chanen holding her in the hospital. “Welcome to this world princess! Daddy will alwayssss be there for you and Mommy," he wrote alongside it.

At the end of 2022, the couple shared that Chanen had two miscarriages that year. A month later, at the start of the new year, the couple announced they were expecting a baby.

“You’re our dream come true,” read the message for their joint Instagram video.

She attends Juwan’s games

Chanen is a frequent attendee of her husband's football games and often brings their daughter along too. In September 2023, Juwan posed with his wife and daughter on the sidelines. “Baby’s first game,” Chanen captioned her Instagram post.

The next month, she shared another game photo of herself holding their daughter and wrote, “Looking for daddy.”

Before the birth of J'adore, Chanen also attended lots of Juwan's games. In September 2022, she posted a video in which her husband came over to the sideline to give her a kiss.

She shares a TikTok account with her husband, and they have over 3 million followers. They often post videos on their account about parenthood, family life and Juwan’s career.

He bought her a house after she gave birth

Chanen said in an April 2023 TikTok Juwan bought her a house as her “push present” while pregnant with their daughter J’adore.

“POV: your husband bought you a house as a push present,” she wrote. “I know what my services are worth."

She got a tattoo with him

In April 2021, Juwan and Chanen announced that they had gotten tattoos together and documented it on their YouTube channel.

The matching tattoo is the date of their wedding in Roman numerals. She also got a second tattoo for her husband — his first initial on the side of her neck.
