THIS is the last known image of celeb Zsa Zsa Gabor, who died aged 99, showing her final years which were plagued by health troubles.

The Hungarian actress suffered a fatal heart - just two months shy of her 100th birthday.

A heart-breaking snap from 2014 shows the bed-ridden Hollywood star being comforted by her only daughter Francesca Hilton at her home in Bel-Air, Lost Angeles.

It was the same year Francesca opened up about her mother’s condition in an interview with Radar.

She revealed her mum was "clinging to life" and was being "kept alive by a feeding tube".

“Why is she still alive?" Francesca, who visited weekly, asked. "She’s not really happy.”

Two years later, Zsa Zsa's publicist confirmed she passed away on Sunday at her Bel Air mansion after spending the last five years on life support.

The nine-time married star is survived by husband Frederic Prinz von Anhalt, while her only child, daughter Francesca Hilton, to second husband Conrad Hilton, died in January 2015.

Starring in films such as Moulin Rouge, The Girl in the Kremlin and Queen of Outer Space, she span the gamut of Hollywood from A-list star to B-movie queen.

A true Hollywood icon, Zsa Zsa became a socialite alongside her sister Eva in 1930s in Beverly Hills.

She suffered a long period of ill-health after being involved in a car accident in 2002 which resulted in her becoming partially paralysed.

Years of complications followed and she eventually had to have her right leg amputated in 2011.

Born in Budapest in 1917 to mother Jolie Gabor and father Vilmos Gabor, her family fled the rise of Nazism in Europe to begin a new life in America.

Gabor was married nine times most recently to Frederic Prinz von Anhalt who she married in 1986.

She was first married to Burhan Asaf Beige between 1937 and 1941 before divorcing him and going on to marry hotel magnate Conrad Hilton  between 1942 and 1947.

She went on to wed Jack Ryan in 1975 until 1976, then Michael O'Hara between 1976 and 1983 before she married her penultimate husband Felipe de Alba in 1983 before annulling the marriage just one day later.

Famously a man-eater, Zsa Zsa came out with some of the most memorable quotes in Hollywood history.

"I am a marvellous housekeeper," she said. "Every time I leave a man, I keep his house."

Celebrities flocked to Twitter to pay tribute to the late, great star.

Good Morning Britain Piers Morgan wrote: "RIP Zsa Zsa Gabor. 99 years old, 9 husbands, Miss Hungary & Hollywood star. What a life!"

Larry King added: "There will only be one Zsa Zsa Gabor. And, I liked her a lot. Rest In Peace, my dear."

US TV host Andy Cohen simply tweeted:#ZsaZsa #RIP" alongside a number of crying emojis.

I Dream of Jeannie star Barbara Eden tweeted: "Rest in peace Zsa Zsa Gabor. She and her sisters were lovely ladies who were always fun and delightful to be around."
